SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT IN OSHODI LG
First, i want to congratulate you sir on this giant steps been taken towards the development and transformation of our Local Government, the security summit is a welcome idea towards protection of lives and properties.
Sir, this security summit must be extended to all the wards in our local government for effective coverage and orientation of the grassroots towards effective and efficient security of our community.
Human is still the greatest threat to the security and the development of our LG and we must put in a lot of effort to curtain this treat. The greatest entity that needs to be given orientation is our parents, who in turn will educate their children about the dangers of being a menace to the family, society and our local government. Our parents must be told not to leave the learning and education of their children in the hands of school teacher alone, they too must monitor the progress of their children effectively, also they must design productive programs for their children to engage in after school, enroll them in vocational schools like computer learning institution, football or soccer academy, tailoring, carpentry and other skill acquisition schools , this will help the younger one to take their mind off crime or join bad groups or society, also the parents must know how to communicate motivational words into their children, if you look at my political programs for WARD D3 we intend going to schools for motivational talks for the younger ones who are presently been shaped by the society, companies they keep and events happing around them, in MAFOLUKU we observe most of the youths now create their own junction by seating at the apex of each street and form their own base which is use for drinking, smoking extortion of money and so on, base on our research, we discover we were producing more AREA BOYS than graduates and our solution is to attend CDA meeting , PTA meeting and every other meeting and gathering that will give us the freedom to speak with our the parents ,so that we can reduce the numbers of AREA BOYS and miscreants been produced in our communities and Local Government. Orientating the parents should our major focus irrespective of you financial status poor or rich, living in AGBOLE or not, our information on child discipline must holistic in approach.
